My grandmother has died - All I am thinking about is the JW funeral...
by exjehovah inmy jw grandmother passed away last night after a long battle with alzhemers disease.
she suffered a lot at the end of her life, a shell of who she ounce was, so i am happy she is at peace.
as i mentioned my brother died a short three months ago.

It is hard to "hold Your head high" when You are amoungst hateful, insulative people in their own environment. You are facing what You describe exactly. Their tactics are to alianate You to the point of allegiance. You may rightfully employ sending flowers, or a card of condolence, or even Your Own Service, and not deal with jw bs....
My condolences to You Dear...I am so sorry for Your Loss.

Did anything significant happen in 1934?
by Paralipomenon inlooking at the 607/587 bce issue, i was wondering if the bethel could spin some new light to avoid embarassment and buy themselves an extra 25 years or so.. if it was 1935, they could claim that the call to close the doors to heaven was actually the real date of jesus' invisible reign and tie up two embarassments with one flash of light.. best i could find though, nothing really important happended then.
anyone else with better jw historical records think of an "out" for them?.
once 2014 comes, they are in for a major explanation.

I understand You were disfellowshipped after serving the tower for 50 years or so. May I ask some personal questions? I would like to know a little more about You and Your experiences since your removal from the ranks.
How much time if any did you allow yourself for a cool- down period?
What sites if any, did you use for information to educate yourself as to the problems of leaving a high control group?
Do You have a network of support for your griefs, any personal support for everyday problems that you now face as a new wordly person?
Why did You start a website and why does it mean so much that people "click" and "scroll"?
To be honest, You seem like a very angry, confused and aggitated fellow. Your language is colored by very jw-esque speech and pattern. You lack empathy which makes me very squeamish and You appear to be hateful and self centered. I wonder how much if any self-improvement work You have done before jumping into some sort of savior/teaching position.

Parroting in the meetings
by dgp inin the one meeting i attended, i noticed that some witnesses were creative in the answers they gave to the questions, while others were simply repeating what the magazine said.
i remember that, at the time, i thought the creative ones were also the smart ones, while the others were lazy, and that no doubt the creative ones would rank higher in the watchtower.. well, i think i have changed my mind.
it seems to me that those parroting the questions are, in a way, the smart ones.

mind you also godrutz (pleasure to "meet" you btw), that witnesses are told to NOT read the bible and make their own interpretations. that the wt lit is needed to properly translate the message. this being so, can the witnesses even be considered protestant as is commonly believed by the public?
